They become closer and closer- friends wise- (well for Hazel but Augustus not so much) until finally, Hazel realizes she likes him. This has to be a major point in the book because everything changes from here on out. Another major thing in the book is when they read each others favorite books. This may not seem like a big thing but it is because When Augustus reads Hazel's favorite book, and finishes it, He send an email to the author concerning the unfinished ending. The author returns an email. Both Augustus and Hazel are so excited because they are invited to Amsterdam to see the author.

In The Fault in Our Stars the main character is kind of a tell it how it is person. I feel like she doesn't care about what other people think of her and that is a good thing. She doesn't sugar coat anything especially when it comes to Augustus Waters. Augustus is kind of the love of her life even though she hasn't realized it. Yet. Augustus dreams of having an impact and being remembered by everyone. Hazel has a problem with that. She specifically points out that it is impossible to be remembered by everyone. Later on Augustus runs into Hazel again and he tries to talk to her more and more. It works.

This was by far my favorite book I have read so far!! I would love to have a chance to read it again, if I ever have time. Keep on reading this book. It may be sad, but it is an amazing read!!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your description of Hazel. I feel like Augustus also has an impact on her personality, too. He really changes her perspective on life.
